產品詳細

Find out more about what our company stands for and how the eVscope brand has developed over the past few years:

Many of us are curious to observe the mysteries of the universe…Unfortunately most objects are too faint to be seen through a conventional telescope.

With eVscope eQuinox, so much more is made possible.

Thanks to live light accumulation, the eVscope eQuinox reveals in seconds galaxies, nebulae, comets, and much more in unparalleled crisp and colorful details.

No advanced training is required to begin your eQuinox outer space adventure. Novices and pros alike can grow their space discoveries and science skills, using one powerful, portable smart device.

With the eVscope eQuinox, discovering and exploring outer space can fit into your busy schedule, even from a balcony in your city.

The eQuinox can be set up in a few seconds, and, within minutes, you can explore numerous deep-space objects. Observe and navigate space using any smartphone or tablet (even if your device is outside, while you enjoy the cozy comforts of home). Easily share your experience with others: Up to 10 people at once can observe space while their smartphone or tablet is connected to the eQuinox.

Our patented proprietary technology – Enhanced Vision allows a live observation of faint objects thanks to the live accumulation of the light we receive from them. Galaxies, nebulae and comets finally become visible, colourful and detailed.

No matter the observing conditions (light pollution, moon phase, weather, etc…) and the objects you are pointing, you will see the beautiful colours and shapes of galaxies and nebulae normally invisible in a matter of a few seconds to several tens of seconds for, even through the eyepiece of a large conventional telescope.

With the push of a button and tap of the app, your eQuinox recommends the most spectacular targets and launches into deep-space observations, in minutes.

With a catalogue of over 5000 objects to choose from, use the app to learn about and identify cosmic objects, including which objects are ideal for viewing from your location. Save and share your experience with others – in person or virtually – with your connected tech.

The Unistellar app provides captivating educational content and automates your observing experience, so that novices can enjoy their device right away. The app also offers manual controls for advanced users.

The eVscope eQuinox ensures more time exploring space and less time setting up or calibrating. Our system instantly recognizes the objects in its field of view by comparing what it sees with a coordinate database of tens of millions of stars. This allows the eQuinox automated tracking and pointing system to be extremely accurate and easy to use, making it by far the most user-friendly telescope on the market.

Autonomous Field Detection also allows it to inform you about what you are observing (distance from the Earth, etc.).

Light pollution renders celestial objects invisible to the human eye and conventional ‘direct-view’ telescopes, because the human brain cannot filter, process and prioritize light sources. Even cameras and computers are challenged by light pollution, which creates “noise” on images, blurs objects and distorts shapes. It can be challenging or impossible to create crisp, beautiful images when you are faced with light pollution.

Unistellar’s proprietary software mitigates the impact of light pollution and allows for distant objects to be observed in crisp detail, even from bright inner-city environments. For each observation, Unistellar’s technology swiftly identifies background light, then automatically filters and removes this unwanted light, delivering the best possible image parameters and results. Users benefit from more precise images with better contrasts and colors, regardless of the level of brightness of the sky (urban light pollution, moonlight).

The Unistellar Network is the first global community of citizen astronomers, 5 000 strong and counting. With every new user comes a new citizen scientist, fuelling Unistellar’s evermore powerful global array of connected telescopes, each capable of delivering scientifically valuable observations. Partnership with the SETI Institute.

Starting on day 1, you can conduct valuable space science with astronomers from the SETI Institute and other institutions. Protect Earth by detecting a hazardous asteroid. Discover and confirm the existence of a hot Jupiter around a distant star. Uncover the mysteries of a comet or supernova.

As part of the Unistellar Network, eQuinox users get to exchange in dialogue with professional astronomers and space aficionados. Hear about projections, plan observations, get help capturing a target, and receive actionable tips for collecting and submitting data. Learn about light curves and data modelling, have your observations confirmed, and see your data put into action through charts, visuals and 3D prints.

Most recently, Unistellar’s citizen science network predicted the March 7 Occultation, a hazardous asteroid Apophis over Colorado and Louisiana. We knew that the eVscope could observe this occultation, and because interest in the event was growing among amateur and professional astronomers, we were able to contribute to this campaign with our time and resources.

Scientists across the world such as NASA-JPL collaborate to make predictions, and citizen astronomers work together to coordinate their efforts to contribute to the research.(check our blog post for more information).

Carefully designed with the world leading manufacturer of large telephoto lens transportation bags, our backpack is made of tough reinforced fabric, and carefully padded with high density foam to protect your telescope from any shock.

Our partner is a highly-regarded manufacturer in its field and very experienced at making complex, high-quality consumer electronics. For the past few years, we have honed our production and manufacturing capabilities, delivering more than 5000 of our earlier models worldwide.

Now with a new generation, eVscope eQuinox, we are finalizing the last stretch of the design-to-manufacture process.  With extensive testing already done, the assembly lines for this limited mass production have just started this summer with an expected delivery for Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore in early September 2021.

 Evolution of the eVscope

Unistellar brings the wonders of astronomy back to city dwellers, most of whom have lost touch with the wonders of the night sky. Comets, extragalactic supernovae, fast near-Earth asteroids, and much more —they’re out there every night, just above you in the sky, and they’re inviting you to have a look. Take them up on that invitation and your life will never be the same. We are proud to be able to bring eVscope eQuinox on Searching C, to our fellow astronomy enthusiasts in Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore. Join this journey; become a member of our community of 5,000 and counting.

Q: What is the resolution of the images it captures?
A: The Sony IMX224LQR image sensor has a raw image size of 1305×977 and a typical frame rate of 60 fps.

Q: What is the pixel scale?
A: The pixel scale is 1.7 arcsec.

Q: Battery: How long does it last?
A: Can I use the eQuinox while it is charging? How do I know it’s fully charged?
We recommend you fully charge your eQuinox before your first observation. The battery lasts up to 12 hours. You can also use your telescope while its battery is charging. The charging time can vary from 6.5 hours (OFF mode) to 8 hours (while operating). To charge the battery, you must use a USB-C charger.

Q: Can the battery be replaced?
A: The telescope, its electronics and sensors are powered with a rechargeable internal battery that can be replaced in case of malfunction or permanent damage.

Q: Can I observe the moon and planets?
A: The eQuinox was primarily created to observe the deep-sky wonders of the Universe. You can observe the moon and planets, like Jupiter and Saturn, but they are very bright. They can’t be seen better than with a classical telescope, except for Neptune and Uranus which are very far and fainter.

Q: What are the minimum smartphone or tablet characteristics required to use the eQuinox?
A: For the required minimum for a smartphone or a tablet:
Android 7 or iOS 12 operating system (though, we highly recommend using at least Android 10 or iOS 14)
2GB minimum of RAM (Random Access Memory): 108.5Mo for the App installation and 500Mo (1GB is better) available for pictures stored in your phone’s gallery.

Q: How do I control my eQuinox? WiFi or Bluetooth?
A: Unistellar’s App can be downloaded to a smartphone or a tablet and enables you to wirelessly control the eQuinox via WiFi. Up to 10 devices can be connected to one eQuinox at the same time (1 Operator and 9 Watchers).

Q: Do you need an Internet connection to use the eQuinox?

No. The eQuinox is a connected telescope, meaning it needs to be connected to another device (smartphone, tablet, computer…) to be controlled, but an Internet connection is not mandatory for that device. It’s only needed to download our application. It functions with a smartphone or a tablet. To benefit from the full eQuinox experience (observation sharing, notifications,…), we recommend you get a data connection but if you can’t find one where you want to observe, you’ll still be able to use your eQuinox.

Q: Can I adapt a DSLR Camera to the eQuinox?
A: No camera is needed to take and share photos with the eQuinox: the sensor used on the eQuinox will allow you to get the best combination of resolution and sensitivity allowed by its construction. You can retrieve the pictures on your smartphone and the raw pictures on your computer.

Q: Can I use the telescope in cities, how sensitive is the eQuinox to light pollution?
A: Most of our demos are done in highly light polluted areas, yet many people were amazed by what they saw. Of course, the image quality won’t be as good if light pollution is high, since the fainter objects will tend to disappear under the light pollution threshold, but you will still see colors and details on many of the brighter nebulae, galaxies, and asteroids etc… In general, staying away from streetlights (like going behind a building or trees) is sufficient to enjoy the objects like Dumbbell nebula, the Ring bell Nebula or M51 for example.

Q: How do you combine the multiple frames?
A: We use a fast image stacking algorithm and variable exposure time to provide an on-the-go while-it-stacks live user experience. Our algorithms can compensate small movements of the field, the rotation of the field of view as well as correcting for light pollution. The stacking produces a neat image in the eyepiece.

Q: What is the field of view of the eQuinox?
A: It is ~30 arcmin.

Q: So… do you layer downloaded images or is it real?
A: Yes, it is real, we do NOT make any overlay of any preexisting images. The image is formed from photons being collected at the time you are observing. You are doing astronomy, not watching a movie.

Q: What is the operating temperature of the eQuinox?
A: The eQuinox works from -20°C to 50°C. While using it in very cold environment, we recommend covering it to provide a relative insulation. The main effect of the cold will be a faster draining of the battery.

Q: VAT, Sales tax, Shipment?
A: Price of your reward + shipment cost ($59 + delivery scheduled for September 2021)

Q: Where will the telescope be manufactured?
A: Hardware for the telescope comes from Asia and Europe, final assembly will be done in Asia.

Q: What will come in the box upon arrival?
A: The package includes:
